this time, we have now ceased offering individual packets of vegetable
seeds with the exception of our famous heirloom tomato seeds. Due to the
current state of the economy, we are finding that the majority of our customers
are asking for sets of seeds that will allow them to grow enough vegetables
to help reduce the cost of groceries. We are now focusing on offering sets
of vegetable seeds to our customers at an affordable price that will allow
them to grow their own food. These sets of seeds are
also very storable and can be used over the course of several growing seasons.
Not only are these sets a great value in price compared to buying individual
packets of seeds, but the produce they will yield for you will give you
an even greater savings off your grocery bill. With this in mind,
at this time, we will no longer be offering individual packets of vegetable
seeds for individual sale with the exception of our heirloom tomatoes.

The word "broccoli" means "little sprouts" in Italian and broccoli is in the same family (Brassica) as Kale, Cauliflower, Brussel Sprouts and others. Originally the Green Sprouting Calabrese Broccoli is thought to have been introduced into Western vegetable gardens by Italian immigrants in the 1880's. Green Sprouting Calabrese Broccoli was later introduced to the seed trade between 1914-1918 and has remained very popular with gardeners ever since! This lovely, old fashioned Broccoli variety is a very disease resistant, very hardy and very prolific producer of 3 to 6 inch, large sized broccoli heads. The heads are a dark green in color, with a tight, bluish green center and are typically uniform in size and shape. The heads of this broccoli variety are not only excellent to the taste, but are very tender, contain few calories and are extremely high in Vitamin A. Once the initial head is cut, many small branches will also appear which will produce small clusters of broccoli sprouts. The plants will grow from 30 to 36 inches in height. Although the heads of this Broccoli variety are typically the only thing utilized, the stalks, buds and leaves are also edible. Green Sprouting Calabrese
Broccoli is very easy to grow and is an excellent crop for cold climates
that can be used either fresh or frozen. Matures in approximately 60 to
80 days.
Early Purple Sprouting Broccoli Origin: Italy Item #: BROCCOLI002 An extremely hardy variety providing a succession of tender shoots topped with purple heads from early to late spring. A gourmet delicacy, but very easy to grow. Good for freezing. 60 days. 
DeCiccio Broccoli Origin: Italy Item #: BROCCOLI003 This extra early Italian heirloom never fails to impress. Medium sized tight heads have an excellent flavor. It will follow the main harvest with very good production of side shoots. Good for early spring planting. 50 days. 
Waltham 29 Broccoli Origin: USA Item #: BROCCOLI004 Compact, stocky 20" plant with dark blue-green solid heads. Follows with a large crop of side shoots. Can survive the cold temperatures of fall right up to a hard freeze. 85 days. Are you concerned
