Due to the current state of the economy, we are finding that the majority of our customers are asking for sets of seeds that will allow them to grow enough vegetables to help reduce the cost of groceries. Scottish Giant Musselburgh Leek (Musselburgh Leeks, Scottish strain)
Origin: Scotland

Originally introduced in 1834, this Scottish heirloom leek hails from Musselburgh, Scotland and features thick, flavorful stalks and a mild taste. This is a very fine, very hardy variety of Scottish Leek which is now very rare. Two strains of Giant Musselburgh Leeks were described in the 1933 edition of "My Garden Book", the annual seed catalog of the Scottish Seed House at Perth, Scotland. Matures in 80 to 120 days.
